Treatments
Treatments methods are based on your diagnosis, personal preferences and medical circumstances.
Acupuncture
Trained in traditional acupuncture Austin and Sarah use the teachings of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western thinking to diagnose and treat the signs & symptoms of illness. Acupuncture treats physical and emotion conditions. Morte about acupuncture.
Acupressure
Acupressure is often used instead of acupuncture, particularly if someone is uncomfortable with needles. Acupressure offers a quick effective and comforting treatment, we frequently combine it with other treatments such as massage, and even acupuncture. Great for children who can’t sit still.
Moxibuston
The healing power of heat from moxa (burning herbs) to TDP lamps (infra-red). TDP lamps are used for general applications, while moxa is more focused and traditional. Heat is often used for painful conditions but moxa can for instance help turn a breech baby when applied to a particular acupuncture point on the foot. More about moxibustion.
Cupping
Cupping stimulates acupuncture points or larger areas of the body. It is often used with massage and acupuncture or as a stand-alone treatment. These days it is common to see athletes and celebrities sporting the temporary round marks of cupping. More about cupping.
Gua Sha
Gua sha is used to move Qi and Blood stagnation, a cause of pain and stiffness in muscles and joints. Gua sha promotes circulation and releases tension as well as removing toxins. more about gua sha
Massage
Tuina (Chinese Massage) uses massage techniques based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. It treats musculoskeletal conditions and illnesses related to stress, it gives a general feeling of relaxation and wellbeing. Massage is often combined with other treatments. More about massage.
Lifestyle
Lifestyle advice is an important aspect to treatment. Eating well, exercising and keeping a calm mind can greatly enhance long term recovery. We place much emphasis on healthy eating and meditative exercise. More about lifestyle.
